Nick has extensive experience of the financial services sector both in the UK and across Europe, built up through a twenty five year career both in consultancy and in-house. As Director, Corporate Affairs at Abbey National plc, he advised both the retail and investment banking sides of the business and was responsible for the launch of Abbey National’s online bank ‘Cahoot’. He also devised the communications strategy for Abbey’s wealth management offering. While a Director of Hill and Knowlton UK, Nick’s clients included Hambros Bank and Chase Manhattan, and he led the communications campaign to positively reposition Chase Manhattan across Europe against a tide of negative media coverage. Nick went on to run H&K’s Athen’s office where he launched Citibank Private Bank and local ’boutique bank’ Egnatia. Most recently he has led an integrated communications campaign for global ForEx company Alpari. In addition to his financial services experience Nick devised and led the international campaign for the Industrial Development Board for Northern Ireland, launched Pizza Hut in Moscow, led the global media campaign to promote Athens for the 2004 Olympics and helped The Royal Armouries Museum to raise 40million to build a new museum in Leeds. Thoroughly experienced in work across the Arabian Gulf, he has also managed an extensive PR network spanning the Balkans and former Soviet republics.
