The Challenge

Kent-based fruit processor Unifresh wanted to leverage their significant investment in new de-stalking machinery to coincide with a presence at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, the leading international trade exhibition for the fresh produce trade.

A central plank in Unifresh’s ambitious strategy to provide farm-to-fork service for the processing and catering industries across Europe, the PR strategy had not only to showcase new technological capacity but also reflect a new and bold business direction.

RepComms had to ensure the very best in trade sector press coverage while also creating compelling sales collateral capable of making a real impact among peers, suppliers and potential clients.

Our Approach

Working on a brief provided by Unifresh MD Hannes Martin, RepComms penned a feature piece for ?trade bible Fresh Produce Journal (FPJ) explaining the processing technology and expanding on business strategy.

Allied to creative photography commissioned by RepComms for use as sales collateral, FPJ gave the Unifresh initiative a double page spread in their Fruit Logistica edition ensuring that the Unifresh story reached the right audience at the right time.

RepComms also commissioned, managed and oversaw the production of ?a short film illustrating Unifresh’s’farm-to-fork’ offering and giving company sales execs the perfect tool to both interest and educate potential clients in compelling fashion.

The Results

Targeted and timely media coverage, powerful footage, heightened awareness, return on investment for Unifresh.
